I have been a licensed professional counselor for almost 13 years. I managed and ran my own private practice for approximately 6 years. I've worked with clients varying in age, gender, and socioeconomic status. I worked as a Substance Abuse Supervisor in an inpatient facility and currently hold the position of Assistant Clinical Director at my place of full-time employment. I primarily utilize a cognitive-behavioral, strengths-based model for treating clients. I also use motivational interviewing and solution-focused therapies when relevant to the specific needs of the client.
My counseling style is warm, empathic, rewarding and directive. I believe in treating all people with respect and I do not support stigmatizing labels. I will individualize our discussions and work with you to create a treatment plan that meets the unique dynamics of our work together.
It takes courage to seek a better life and take those first steps towards change. If you are ready to make those changes, I am here to support and empower you.
I look forward to working with you!
