About Me

Are you looking for some peace? My practice focuses on creating a safe place for you to begin or continue your process of healing. I have had several years of experience working with people who have issues with mental illness, substance abuse, and complex trauma. I use an eclectic approach that is client centered, and enjoy using EMDR, Gestalt, and existential modalities. I will provide a compassionate, validating and honest approach to addressing what is holding you back from experiencing peace in your life, and look forward to discovering how we can work together to find it.
EMDR is a psychotherapy that assists people to heal from the symptoms and emotional distress that are the result of traumatic life experiences. EMDR removes stored blockages that have kept you "stuck" and reactive.
My commitment is to allow you the freedom to express your feelings in a safe space of honesty, non-judgement, and compassion.

Erin was absolutely awesome in helping me through a hard time. She gave me someone to talk to, made me feel comfortable, facilitates good conversation, and helped me feel validated as well as realize some things (like challenging some negative self talk.) She’s great! :)

Erin has been amazing to work with. She goes above and beyond to provide me with support and make me feel seen and heard, always asking thoughtful questions, responding with meaningful dialogue and helpful tips, she makes me feel well cared for. She takes time to check in with me between sessions and makes sure I’m happy and comfortable with my experience. Erin was awesome! She made me feel comfortable and made it very easy for me to open up. She was a great listener, provided support and positive feedback. I found Erin easy to relate to and connect with. She made me feel very heard, and I tend to ramble and I have been diagnosed with ADHD, so i am aware I tend to be all over the place (especially when i am a little nervous) and she reassured me that she still understood my concerns and understood my mess of a life. Meeting with a counselor is something I have been putting off for years, as I am not one to talk about how I am feeling, which has always made me apprehensive to meet with a counselor, but I am now sure wishing I reached out sooner. She made me feel relaxed and able to express emotions in a very open and comfortable way. The feedback and insight she provided was really really helpful and made me feel heard and that there is a light at the tunnel. I am really looking forward to my next session with her! 10/10 :)

I have received counselling from Erin to help me with my ADHD. She's definitely an expert in this area and has so much to offer. She'll make sure first she understands your challenges, trying to get to know you. Then she works with you to help uncover what the real issue is and how to best help you. Her patient approach helped me discover for myself what steps I needed to take to improve and tackle my issues, never forcing anything on me. I really enjoy working with her and I'm grateful for the newly found confidence in myself she's helped me re-discover.

Erin helped me feel instantly comfortable and it's been a really long time since I felt truly excited about counseling and doing some (much needed) personal work. I'm feeling pretty blessed right now that the universe connected me with her and I'm looking gratefully toward the future.
