About Me

Hello, my name is Erin! I am a clinical social worker with six years of counseling and psychotherapy experience. As a mental health professional, my goal is to empower you to live a life that feels supportive, authentic, and personally meaningful. I’m passionate about diversity and equity and value my role as a social worker who promotes wholistic wellness and social justice. Over the years, I have served a variety of communities including refugees, LGBTQ+ identified individuals, youth in foster care and adoptive homes, survivors of sexual assault and intimate partner violence, college students experiencing disordered eating, and adults living with chronic pain. I also have experience providing psychotherapy across diverse settings including nonprofit organizations, outpatient behavioral health clinics, and a university specialty counseling center.

I aim to create a counseling space that honors the social identities you hold and is grounded in a therapeutic relationship that is compassionate, collaborative, and client-centered. Previous clients have described my style as warm, genuine, empathetic, and validating. I use a strength-based and solution-focused approach and incorporate practices informed by Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, mindfulness, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing. Furthermore, I am dedicated to providing care that is trauma-informed, and when appropriate, trauma-specific. As a trauma specialist, I am nationally certified in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and have received advanced training in Seeking Safety, Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy, and Emotional Freedom Techniques (Tapping), which involve an integrated, mind-body approach.

In my free time, I enjoy yoga, hiking, writing poetry, baking, playing the piano, and playing board games.

I look forward to partnering with you on a journey of self-awareness, self-care, and healing.
