Erin Romero, LCSW
About me
I received my undergraduate degree from Loyola Marymount University in 1999 and my graduate degree in Social Work, from Boston College in 2002. Initially, I worked as a social worker in Harlem and Queens, New York; providing wraparound services for children and their parents with a history of substance use. Then, I moved back to San Jose, California, where I was raised, and worked for two years in a non-profit agency; providing counseling and case management services to foster youth and their biological and foster families. Since 2005, I have worked as a clinician within the Behavioral Health Department at Santa Clara County; and I was licensed in 2007. I have worked with adults suffering with severe mental illness and/or substance use issues during my 15 years at the County; in various capacities, including through individual therapy, referral, case management services, and crisis intervention. I am most passionate about helping clients that are struggling with trauma, either from the past or in the present time. I especially want to help others as much as possible during this stressful time; in the face of this pandemic; where we all have been confronted with, sometimes, multiple challenges.

Erin is very personable. I feel comfortable talking with her and we’ve only had two sessions together. I’d recommend her to a friend.
