About me

Hi! I'm Erin, a licensed clinical social worker in Texas. I obtained my bachelor's degree in social work from the Univerity of Houston Clear Lake in 2009, and my master's degree in social work in 2010 from the Univerity of Houston. Over the past 10 years, I have worked in various treatment settings, including an inpatient psychiatric hospital, a community mental health center, several nursing homes, and a residential substance abuse facility. I have experience working with adults addressing concerns related to depression, anxiety, addiction, codependency, aging, physical disabilities, shame, anger, relationship conflicts, and hearing voices. My therapeutic style is non-judgemental and client-centered, with an emphasis on providing empathy and building trust and safety in the working relationship. My methods are always tailored to the needs of my clients and rooted in a humanistic approach. I utilize various treatment modalities, including cognitive-behavioral therapy, solution-focused therapy, and psychodynamic therapy. It is my inherent belief that every person is worthy of emotional healing and deserving of dignity and respect. I greatly value self-determination and autonomy and operate from the perspective that the client is the expert on their life. It is my role as a therapist to work with you as a partner in the process of personal development, and I'd be honored to walk alongside you in your journey.

Reviews

These quotes represent just a few of the many positive reviews that we have received for Erin Taylor. We don't pay anyone to provide their review and they are all made voluntarily. Some people's experience receiving therapy with BetterHelp might be different.

If not for Better Help and Erin Taylor I would not be here today. She was there to support, listen, and guide me through the most difficult time in my life. A year ago today I was unable to do basic functions like get out of bed, shower, brush my teeth, leave my house, work ... I am still and will always be in a healing process but if not for her, my journey would have been very different. I’m eternally grateful for Erin.

Erin is absolutely amazing. Not only is she well educated on current methods of treatment and is helpful professionally, but she also feels like a friend and one that I can open up to. I was so worried about what counselor I would get when starting with betterhelp and I can happily say I am so happy and thankful for having Erin as my counselor and I don't think I would want to change for anything. It's only been two weeks and she has changed my life and I am forever grateful to her and betterhelp!
