Hello! My name is Erin Thomas and I am a Licensed Independent Mental Health Practitioner (LIMHP) in the state of Nebraska. I received my Master's Degree in the beautiful state of Montana at Montana State University-Billings. My husband and 3 little kids are the most important thing in my life so when my husband got a job in Nebraska, off we went to the Midwest. We love it here in Nebraska. We love to travel, swim, play any kind of sport, laugh, and just be together.
I have been in private counseling for 4 years and love helping and getting to know so many wonderful people. I have also done a number of presentations for large groups concerning mental health issues. I have experience in counseling anxiety, depression, PTSD, family and marital relations, grief, pornography, obsessive compulsive disorder, etc. I have also worked with the foster care system in helping re-unite families and teaching parenting techniques and solutions.
Life can be hard and I believe we all need some help from time to time. My role as a counselor is to help you find what works best for you. There is no "one-size-fits-all" in the counseling world but together I believe we can work towards the best possible outcome. My hope is to be a support to you as we work together through some of the messy parts that life can throw at us.
- Stress, Anxiety
- Self esteem
I also have experience in Addictions, Relationship issues, Family conflicts, Trauma and abuse, Grief, Parenting issues, Career difficulties

Erin is so understanding and always makes me feel better when I talk to her. She has given me some great tools, exercises, and advice for dealing with my situation. I would definitely recommend her to anyone who needs help in their life or someone to talk to.
Erin has been so helpful with my anxiety! She’s given me tools and methods of calming myself down, and she’s always made me feel like I’m not crazy and what I’m feeling is normal. I really enjoyed talking to her, and she always made me feel like she cares about my well-being.
She is a very exceptional counselor. She listens to my concerns and tries to help to develop different coping methods for me to use. She also is a great listener. If I don’t want help or advice right away, and just need to vent because I don’t have anyone else to talk to, she listens and respects my feelings. We end up talking about what was bothering me, but only when I’m ready to do so. Overall, she is very supportive. When I told her I couldn’t afford the service anymore, and decided to go through insurance, she offered to help me find a therapist in my area to see.
I have nothing but good things to say about Erin. She is an excellent counselor; supportive, friendly, and thoughtful.
Erin is a very kind and intelligent professional. She’s extremely helpful and sincere in her actions and ways to help. It’s been very nice to have someone who is so motivated to help and follows through with more to back you up.
