About me

Hello and welcome, my name is Esteban Salazar, but you can call me Steve. It takes courage to take these steps to address the issues you are currently experiencing. I would love to be a part of your progress to achieve your goals. I know you are the expert of your life; I will follow your lead. I will definitely make suggestions and if I believe we need to address something I will let it be known. I respect your time and money; we will set goals and each week we will make progress towards those goals. I want to get you to the point where you can use the skills you have learned, so you can continue to make progress on your own, whenever you are ready. If you find that you may need another few sessions, you can always comeback.

I have 10 years’ experience working as a counselor and graduated with my master's degree in counseling in 2018, so I have years of experience and recent book knowledge. I started out as an LCDC then I obtained my LPC license, I still hold both licenses. I started out working with people with substance use disorders. I wanted to be able to help people with substance abuse issues and other mental health issues, so I got my master’s degree and got my LPC so I can treat the other mental health disorders. My theoretical approaches include CBT, Solution Focused, Person Centered, Motivational Interviewing, and Psychoanalysis. I have experience working with trauma, stress, anxiety, depression, chemical addiction, process addiction, porn addiction, shame and guilt, self-esteem, adjustment issues, LGBTQ issues, impulsivity, codependency, and family/relationship conflicts.

I look forward to getting to know each other and am looking forward to building trust. Your confidentiality is one of my biggest priorities. I work out of a private office, and I also have a home office. Right now, I do all my sessions from my private office, and plan to continue this. I just wanted to be transparent that in the future this can change to adding a couple of days a week to my home office. Both offices provide privacy and have reliable internet services. Thank you for considering me as your counselor, I will do my best to make this as beneficial to you as I possibly can.

The available days shown are only for intakes. I will be able to schedule session in the morning, day or evening. The calendar just does not sync with my other calendar so I have to schedule then manually.

He’s really easy to talk to and very well versed in psychology and how the brain works, particularly when it comes to addictions. Even just one session with him was extremely helpful:)

Esteban is wonderful. He is a great listener who doesn’t use his opinions when he is giving advice, which is great because he is unbiased when it comes to everything; religion , sexuality , etc. He was able to relate to me and helped me dig deep into some issues that have caused anxiety that I wasn’t able to focus on in the past. He had quick responses and always responded to my journals and worksheets.

A very kindhearted man. Esteban Salazar is very professional with his counseling, enhanced by his approachable personality. Not once did I felt I was talked down to or belittled when discussing matters with him. It’s obvious that he is compassionate and it is easy to recommend him to others.
