Evan Lawrence, LMHC
About me
Hi there! My name is Evan Lawrence and I am a licensed mental health counselor (LMHC) in NY state. I am a friendly therapist and my number 1 goal is for you to be able to get the help you need and feel comfortable with me while doing it.
My approach combines Solution Focused Brief Therapy with lifestyle changes for a "top down/ bottom up approach."
I received my B.A. in Psychology from UCONN and graduated with distinction from my Masters program at John Jay. I am certified in SFBT through the Brief International and have other training in physical health as well.
I am a certified personal trainer (CPT), a registered yoga teacher (RYT200), and a Precision Nutrition coach (PN1).
I have been educated on these areas (exercise, nutrition, mental health and sleep) on purpose as they are known to effect one another. To this end- I am armed with the knowledge of how to use them in an integrative capacity and look forward to doing.
