I am a Licensed Counselor in Florida, Nevada and Arizona. I also am a Nationally Certified Counselor or NCC and have my MCAP or a Masters of Certified Addictions Professional in Florida only. I have been licensed for 8 years now. I have 20 years of experience working in the helping field. I have worked with clients who are depressed, stressed, have low self-esteem, anxiety, and have anger issues. I do not work with clients who have severe trauma as I believe this needs more intense therapy then I can provide on this platform.
I am a person who believes in a world filled with peace and love, and as a Christian, I know how life can be both challenging and rewarding. I am here to help challenge you in creating a more meaningful life for yourself. I am empathetic, caring and non-judgmental. You set your own path and I walk beside you and encourage you to succeed in your journey. My therapy sessions combine various techniques including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing and DBT therapy.
Don't allow yourself to shut out the world. Life is worth living and is a gift to enjoy. We all need someone to confide in. I will be here for you.
Peace and kindness. I look forward to working with you!

Amazing therapist. Highly recommend
Evelyn has helped me do more for my mental health than any other counselor. There’s purpose and direction in our sessions, which I like. Others just let me talk and talk without any goal. They’ve always just listened, which is nice at first but I’m finding direction and structure are important for me. I’m so grateful for her.
My Counselor Evelyn Spaar has been extremely supportive and extremely helpful in all aspects of everything that I am personally dealing with. By far has contributed into making me a stronger mentally healthy individual and for that professional advice I am very grateful.
Evelyn is a great therapist. She helped me to understand what was going on in my head. Now I am better equipped to identify negative thoughts and feelings before they become a major issue. She is attentive, knowledgeable, understanding and supportive.
Over the months I’ve been working with Evelyn she’s helped me find the clarity to drastically improve my life. She’s easy to talk to even to those of us who struggle with determining our own feelings, and offers approachable, judgement-free support at all times. Since starting our sessions I’ve been able to identify problems in my life and focus on them without feeling overwhelmed, something I’ve struggled with a lot in the past.
Evelyn has been wonderful and supportive over the past few months. She is a great listener and she has given me useful tools for dealing with my anxiety. Thank you, Evelyn!
Evelyn is kind and understanding . She listens and asks the right questions. She allows me to think deeper and reflect. She gives great advice and is trustworthy. I feel like I’m talking to a friend. She does not judge , but rather encourages .
Evelyn has been very helpful to me during a time of my life that has been tough. She is supportive, kind, and a great listener. She has helped me to see things from a more positive outlook and helped me to work through many of my fears, doubts and insecurities. I am very thankful for her and the time we have shared.
She has helped me so much
Evelyn is a good listener. She responds to my worries in good time and she understands my predicament. Her style is not to spoon feed what you need to know but she guides you towards self care and mindfulness, tools you need to control anxiety and stress.
Evelyn is a wonderful counselor. She asks great questions and helps you find your own insight. I felt like I was talking to a friend, but a friend with knowledge and how to solve problems. Thankful to get to chat with her.
Evelyn is very nice and understanding, I enjoy my time speaking with her and I know we will continue to make progress.
Evelyn shared psychological insights I needed to learn to help move through the confusion I was facing. She provided support and guidance that allowed me to address my concerns openly and constructively. I am grateful to have had the opportunity to work with Evelyn.
Evelyn was very kind, supportive and understanding throughout the sessions. She would message me to check in on top of the video sessions. I felt like I could trust her with anything and she was always great to listen to my concerns. She helped me with great methods to manage the things going on in my life and I’m very great full for everything she taught me.
Evelyn’s calm approach is very soothing and really helps when dealing with issues of depression and anxiety. Within a very few sessions she helped me see things in my life more clearly and make healthier decisions for my mental health. She has provided me with some great, concrete strategies to challenge some of my problematic thought patterns, helping me to be much happier in my day-to-day life.

Very punctual understanding engaged and helpful
Everything was great!
I’ve had a couple of sessions now with Evelyn and she has already had such a positive impact on me. She is very warm, patient and empathetic and always gives me real, tactical ways to recognize and challenge some the core beliefs that have been holding me back in different areas of my life. I have found it very easy to open up to her and appreciate the worksheets and exercises she gives me between sessions to help train my brain and develop new habits. This is my first time doing therapy as an adult and I would highly recommend Evelyn to anyone looking to tackle issues of stress, anxiety and self-esteem.
Working with Evelyn has been an absolut joy. In a very short amount of time she has been able to help me deal with my problem and make me feel so much better by listening closely, being empathetic, validating me and giving me many tools to work with for any difficult future situations. I have always looked forward to my sessions with her and appreciated her time and effort a lot.
I would 100% recommend Evelyn to anyone.
I truly enjoy my sessions with Evelyn Spaar. Looking forward to our next sessions.
My first session, I was really nervous about doing this, but Evelyn made me feel comfortable and welcome in each session since then. She listens to what you have to say, and gives brilliant advice. I'm happy to have been paired and would recommend to anyone.
My professor referred me to Better Help and I am truly glad she did. I have already seen the positive impact these sessions have made in my life.
Evelyn is compassionate, empathetic and understanding. Even though we chat over the phone it feels like I’m talking to my long distance best friend. I struggle to open up about my feelings sometimes but I’ve been able to easily express myself with Evelyn. She is proving to be a pivotal part of my journey.
Evelyn is kind, respectful and caring. She is non-judgmental and understanding. She is also a great listener and she gives her honest opinions while allowing you the freedom/opportunity to make your own decisions after a series of self evaluation and assessment of issues, consequences and outcomes. She is highly recommended.
Evelyn is wonderful to work with. Our sessions are awesome. I fell like a ton of bricks was lifted off of me. I am developing concrete tools I can use to unblock over and over from now on.
