Faith Shreve, LMSW
About me
Hi. My name is Faith Shreve. I am a licensed clinical social worker with 10+ years experience. I work with individuals, families and couples. My mission is to bring hope to the hopeless and to help people become the best version of themselves. Through my work I have learned that every person has value and purpose and sometimes we just need a little help to find our value and purpose and then go after our dreams, visions and goals. I describe therapy as a way to help give people the tools they need to build the life they’ve always wanted. Specialties include low self esteem, depression, anxiety, post traumatic stress, family issues, parenting, substance use and addiction, foster care and adoption and blended families.
I have been trained in cognitive behavioral therapy, trauma focused therapy and Nurturing Parenting curriculum. I have worked as a substance abuse therapist and have an extensive knowledge of and experience with the 12 steps and other recovery based programs.
I am person-centered, non-judgmental and easy going with a warm sense of humor. I approach therapy like a puzzle, discovering all the different pieces and parts of a persons life and then putting the pieces where they go to create a beautiful picture. I believe every person possesses great strengths just waiting to be recognized and built upon. My hope is that everyone that I work with will come away from therapy feeling heard, understood and valued.
