Hi, I’m Fiorella. I’m an experienced, licensed clinical social worker in Middle Tennessee, where I have lived for twenty years. I love exercise of nearly any kind – especially if I can include my two-year-old miniature golden retriever. I firmly believe that there is a direct link between physical and mental health.
Much like a rigorous hike, I treat the therapeutic process as an adventurous journey that we undertake together, exploring your past, present, and goals for the future with curious, compassionate, trauma-informed care. I am bilingual in both Spanish and English, which allows me to most effectively treat my clients who may be dealing with depression, PTSD, anxiety disorders, bipolar disorder, grief, and loss. My goal as a therapist is to build a relational and empathetic alliance to foster your self-growth so that you can become the most authentic version of who you want to be.
I integrate several modalities including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT). I practice active listening, largely because I genuinely love learning about my clients' life stories. While I’m not afraid to challenge my patients and provide accountability, at the end of the day I try to embody the attitude of “Be Curious, not Judgmental” – in my style of practice.
I’m proud of you for reaching out for help – if we get the chance to work together, I can’t wait to see the growth that I know is ahead of you.
