About me

If you are reading this I say “Congratulations!” You’ve taken the first step to becoming a more emotionally healthy version of yourself. We often put our problems aside saying, “I will deal with that later. I just don't have the time.” Unfortunately, the stressors tend to accumulate and we begin functioning from place of physical and emotional exhaustion. The journey through therapy isn’t always an easy one but it would be my honor to take this journey with you. My name is Fran and I am Licensed Clinical Social Worker in San Diego. I have a passion for empowering others and understand that we all come with a lifetime of experiences that shape our thoughts, feelings and behaviors. My goal is to create a safe, honest and supportive place to share your story with no judgement. I want to work with you in exploring strategies to alleviate stress, manage negative emotions, heal emotional distress and plan for a future filled with strength, optimism, happiness and a sense of peace.

I put a strong emphasis on the therapeutic relationship as I believe this is a crucial component for making the most progress possible. Therefore, I prefer video or phone sessions as I believe they allow for a quicker development of the therapeutic relationship. I am also flexible with scheduling and really try to accommodate your needs. I take pride in being highly responsive and will typically check my messages at least twice daily. I work with my clients on a variety of issues, including depression, anxiety, life transitions, relationship difficulties, parenting, family building, identify formation, self-esteem, grief, and loss. I typically blend therapeutic approaches and customize an integrated approach for each client. My practice is influenced by various therapeutic models including: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Client Centered Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, Emotion Focused Therapy and Mindfulness. I also have a strong background in gut health, hormone issues and the relationship between food and mood.
