Frances Ransome, LPC
About me
Hello, my name is Frances Ransome and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor. I earned my bachelor's degree from The College of New Jersey and my counseling degree from Rider University. I have run my own private practice for over eight years working with adults, children, and families focusing on issues such as anxiety, depression, postpartum depression, parenting and family struggles, work-related issues, self-esteem/confidence issues, grief, and life changes.
My approach to counseling is flexible and supports the individual in creating and defining their own goals. I believe in providing a caring, compassionate, and warm approach to the counseling relationship, centered on the needs and goal of the client. I draw from several different therapeutic techniques that utilize concepts from Person-Centered Therapy, Cognitive-Behavior Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Positive Psychology, and Solution-Focused Therapy.
I understand that reaching out for help takes strength and courage. That strength and courage should be met with great respect and kindness. I look forward to the opportunity to take this journey with you and to help you achieve your goals.

Fran was just so helpful in the times we spoke. I deal with a lot of overthinking issues and struggle with some other things as well and she talked me through every single problem i dealt with! She gave me phenomenal advice that i have written down in my journal and whenever i’m feeling certain ways I just go back and read it. She was just a great person to speak with!
