About me

Whatever the reason you are looking for support at this time in your life, I would be happy to be with you on this journey. I provide a safe, confidential, non-judgmental and respectful space to work together to explore the challenges you are facing. Having had experience working with a wide range of clients, I know how unique you and what you are dealing with are.
I have over 10 years of experience, I am a professional, communicative and empathic with a background in psychotherapy and psychological assessment skills. Able to offer therapies and treatments for difficulties related to mental health problems such as anxiety, panic attacks, depression, addictions, personality disorders, low self-esteem, social and interpersonal problems, family problems and challenging behaviors.
My reference theory is cognitive-behavioral. Cognitive behavioral therapy is based on the idea that how we think (cognition), how we feel (emotion) and how we act (behavior) all interact together. In particular, our thoughts determine our feelings and our behavior. Every emotion, every feeling and every action is also a thought. By "thought" we mean those little phrases that we all say to each other mentally, with which we evaluate a situation, think about what to do, how to behave. Each emotion corresponds to a thought that we can clarify and then also manage and even change. Changing it affects emotional suffering. My approach is humanistic and I give a lot of space to the relationship between therapist and client, which is, from my point of view (and from the point of view of much more authoritative authors) one of the most important factors in therapy.

Reviews

These quotes represent just a few of the many positive reviews that we have received for Francesca Di Genova. We don't pay anyone to provide their review and they are all made voluntarily. Some people's experience receiving therapy with BetterHelp might be different.

I highly recommend Francesca Di Genova as a psychologist who provides exceptional care. From the very beginning, I felt a strong sense of professionalism coupled with thoughtfulness and attentiveness. Unlike my previous experiences, where I often felt judged, Francesca's compassionate approach prioritizes my mental health and well-being.

What truly sets Francesca apart is her genuine compassion and empathy. She creates a safe, non-judgmental space where I feel comfortable expressing my thoughts and emotions. Her ability to listen attentively and truly understand has fostered an environment of trust and growth. I always feel seen and heard during our sessions.

I am grateful to have her as my therapist.

Francesa has been an enormous help to me over the past several months. From the first session, it was clear to me that she had a keen interest in understanding me and listening to my story.

What I like the most about Francesca’s approach to therapy is that she asks excellent questions to encourage you to reevaluate your conclusions. This is done in a humble way - which makes it a lot easier to accept when you have been thinking irrationally/unhelpfully about something. Francesca is not at all patronising.

Francesca is friendly, professional, patient, supportive and kind. I am extremely grateful for her compassionate support and I heartily recommend her to be your Therapist!

Francesca is a wonderful therapist. She listens really well. Pays good attentions and looks me in the eye, which is important to me. She also has good ideas and doesn’t just agree with me but instead tries to helps me find a different way to look at things.
