About Me

I am a retired military officer and was an Active Duty behavioral health provider (Army) for 20 years. During that time, I worked exclusively with soldiers and their families. In my capacity as an Army Behavioral Health provider, I deployed to Iraq twice. I am skilled at providing counseling interventions for soldiers, veterans and military family members. My areas of expertise are helping people cope with anxiety, depression, PTSD, deployments, career issues, separation and loss, relationships and family safety (as part of my career, I administered the Army’s domestic violence program). I also am well versed with career issues and implement both therapy and coaching strategies. I am well versed in sleep issues and parasomnias.

I also have an interest in issues of fertility. During my career, I have provided behavioral health assessments for families using the Army’s fertility clinics. I have a small practice where I complete Mental Health evaluations for people who are utilizing third party reproduction at several fertility clinics throughout the United States.

I occasionally write for the popular press on behavioral health issues and have been published in several professional journals. My therapy style is very interactive. I like to help the client establish concrete goals and together we create strategies to address their identified issues.I'm available for messaging, Live chat or phone sessions. I look forward to working with you!

After our first session, I was amazed at how much lighter I felt. These emotions that had been weighing me down for years were suddenly gone and I feel so much more emotionally stable than I ever have in all my life. She is a nurturing and wonderful counselor who helped me realize that everything is going to be alright and it can only get better!

Gabrielle is really understanding and straight to the point. I was extremely anxious on my first call with her but as I spoke to her I felt more relaxed and understood. She is really emphatic, she understands the way you feel and helps you see different perspectives. Although we had a short period of time together, those moments were valuable and helpful; I really appreciate it. Thank you Gabrielle.

Even though there is long distance between us and I never saw her, Gabrielle made me feel her empathy understanding and that sometimes it's OK to feel the way I do and things will be fine. This was my first experience. Gabrielle knows more things about me than my own family and closest people to me and that's fine. I feel that she genuinely cares about what I say. I have just started am not sure how this will go but the start is promising. Thank you Gabrielle
