I am an experienced Maryland licensed therapist. I have many years working with adults in various stages of life. The people I have helped were living with severe trauma, grief, addiction, divorce, career indecisions, relationship, life adjustment, body image and family problems. When left unresolved, these issues can lead to depression, anxiety, panic and generalized sadness or uneasiness. Sometimes we get stuck and don't know the way out of problems and painful/uncomfortable feelings that just won't go away. That's when we need the support of someone who can help in a warm and caring environment.
You will find my approach to counseling is eclectic. What this means is, we can use a mixture of therapeutic tools based on your own needs. After all, we all have different backgrounds and have experienced different upbringings, cultures, religions, prejudices and home lives. So, after hearing your personal story and what you would like to achieve while here, you will have therapy that reflects your individual needs.
I thought you might like to know a little about the person you will be speaking with. When I'm not counseling, I'm most likely hiking with my two dogs, Baily and Emmy. I love being outdoors but not so much during the winter :) I'm married with 2 grown children and I have a grandson. Oh, and I love to cook. I find cooking for me is relaxing......it puts me in a peaceful zone!

I’ve been talking to Gale for a long time and it’s the best thing I could do for myself. I appreciate her so so much for being my shoulder to cry on.
She is excellent.
Gale is kind and has a lot of wisdom. She responds well to what I share and challenges me to gain further insight in how I see things, feel things, and handle life’s most difficult situations. I appreciate her words and her support in the ups and downs of life.
Gale had been extremely supportive. She treats me with the utmost respect and provides a space that is compassionate and safe to express myself.
My sessions with Gale have been so helpful. She is causal & friendly yet professional. She listens really well and the coping mechanisms and cognitive exercises she suggests have helped me so much. I’m still healing and learning & am excited to see my progress continue with Gale’s guidance.
Gale has been a life saver. I look forward to our appointments. She helps me to have hope during a difficult time. I tell EVERYBODY about Better Help.
THanks Gale for ur support. Again, thanks for taking me on again when I know ur case load was already hugeee.
Gale is able to relate to her clients and represents a testimony for the work she does to help others.
Gale is the best therapist I have ever had. She's warm and supportive and is an excellent listener. I feel confident in her experience and knowledge. The way she explains things is very intuitive. The suggestions she has made are helping me already. I'm blown away that the best counseling of my life is coming through my phone.
Gale has been so kind and thoughtful. I truly enjoy my therapy sessions even when we talk about difficult things. I have made some positive changes since beginning therapy. I am so grateful to have met Gale. She has a calming non-judgmental approach that has helped me greatly.
Gale has be my saving grace during this quarantine. To have someone listen to my venting and complaints and not feel judged, I greatly appreciate that.
Gale is a fantastic counselor. She has helped me discover new thoughts about myself and never judges. She always helps me see things from a different point of view and through different eyes.
Gale Dollard listen to me and is energetic and inspiring.
Great listener! She provides insightful feedback as well as effective tools to assist you during your day-to-day
she is really nice and friendly and help anyway that she can
Gale is great. I feel very comfortable telling her anything. I don't feel judged and I feel like she gets me. She's quick to respond which is also great. I would highly recommend her.
Gale is, by far, the best counselor I have ever worked with. She somehow always knows how to make sense of the chaos in my head. I am thankful to have someone like her in my life.
Brilliant, kind, and knows how to get to the core of an issue at a pace that you're comfortable with.
Gale is an amazing counselor. She knows that not everything works for everyone, and has helped me find coping techniques to deal with my anxiety that work for me. She's a non-judgmental realist that I feel like I can talk to about anything.
While Gale has been my counselor for only the past few weeks, we have already built a good rapport. I feel as though I can trust her and her expertise. She not only listens well, but she also responds with thoughtful insight and recommendations. I look forward to continuing with her as my counselor.
Gale Dollard is a very sweet woman. Right off the bat it was like she was in my head kind of guiding me in the direction I needed, she is unbiased and just a great person to talk to. I'm glad I get to have her as my counselor:)
I absolutely enjoy working with Gale. She is very patient and understanding. If something is really bothering me, taking to Gale really calms me down.
Gale has helped me (even in this short time) we have been talking. She helped me understand my problems. She helped push through what was holding me back. I write paragraphs to her, and she always is prompt to respond.
Gale is very supportive of her patients. She listens and helps you build confidence in yourself if your struggling with certain situations.
Gale is incredibly supportive and validating as a counselor. I look forward to our sessions and trust her advice!
Gale is very helpful. She came into my life just the perfect time. I really needed professional help. She is very empathic, focused and devoted, very professional. It's very easy to talk to her. She is like a best friend or like a mother. She gives me the support I need and the help in guidance towards better mental and emotional heath.
Working with Gale has been extremely beneficial for me. She is both understanding and empathetic. It is evident that she chose to be a therapist because she wanted to help people. She is strategic in her approach and makes sure to work at a pace that best supports her client's needs. Her responsive, thoughtful, and kind nature has been very helpful for a client like me who came in with a little hesitation.
Gale is so attentive and kind. She really pays attention to the things you say and truly understands how to help.
Gale is very competent in what she is doing as a counselor. I felt very relieved that from the beginning she was able to understand what my troubles were and she was able to provide me with helpful solutions to them. I’ve been very pleased with all of my interactions with Gail.
I love Gale- seeking counseling at all was scary but after a few messages I knew I had made a good choice. She is responsive, affirming, and gentle but informative.
I would like to take a second to talk about Gale. Having Gale on the other end of the line is like having an angel that has my back no matter what. She has been so understanding, knowledgeable, kind-hearted and professional since our first session. I can't tell you how much speaking on a regular basis to someone that has clinical training helps me deal with my corks. But enough of that I want to keep gushing about Gale. I tried a few counselors on BetterHelp and some seem to be occupied with other things and giving me the old and how did that make you feel routine. Gale is in the same place every time we speak as if I were visiting her for one-on-one sessions but we are using technology to communicate. And I'd also like to mention that I am a male and Gail is a female and she has made me feel comfortable talking about the sometimes uncomfortable subjects that come up when perusing the the inner psyche. She has taken the time to get to know me and what makes me tip and found out different ways to to help me see that things are all good. She really takes the time to plan out and attack and lets me help with the pre-planning. It has just been pay for thumbs-up experience with her so far and I am very appreciative of finding her through better help. Thank you thank you thank you thank you thank you I can't thank you enough Gale.
I have been working with Gale for a few month now. I think it was a life transforming experience for me. She always offer guidance and support. Always listens and give me good advice using trusted scientific methods. I have been able to get a lot of the peace I needed thanks to her.
Gale is perfect! I've never felt so understood and felt so much empathy from another therapist.
As an expat living abroad (in a place where local options are few and far between), I have found working with Gale to be great. She listens, but isn't afraid to offer her opinion (which is an approach I appreciate, having dealt with one or two counsellors already). It's also obvious that she cares and she has a disarming approach. I would highly recommend her.
I am so happy to have found Gale. I never thought I would love having therapy. It’s such a great time and she listens to what I need.
I am new to counseling, and was extremely skeptical as to how much it could actually benefit me, but Gale has been such a good counselor I couldn't have asked for anything more. She's helped me through my rough times, when I felt I was alone and lost. Gale has helped me to take a step back and put all the issues I spoke to her about into perspective - Overall, I'm extremely happy that I got Gale as my first ever counselor as she's is FAB! Highly recommend her to anyone, without any hesitation.
As someone who has put off therapy for a long time, due to feeling shame for going to one for some reason, this site has been very helpful for me. My counselor does not judge me in anyway, and provides me with useful short and long term advice. I am not doing perfectly, however I am doing so much better than before counseling. Who knows where I would be if I didn't take the chance to try therapy.
Gale is such a great listener and cheerleader! I am so helpful she will help me be more confident and meet my therapy goals!
Gale is a godsend. I feel as though I’m talking to my best friend except I know Gale is going to give me advice that isn’t based off what I want to hear. She remembers the ins and outs of my life, names, events... all of it. It’s actually amazing! I love talking with Gale- even if it’s not some breakthrough conversation. She’s someone I can converse with who gets me and is knowledgeable in the same areas. I really hit a home run being matched with her!
I’ve only had a couple of sessions with Gale so far but have been extremely pleased. She made me feel comfortable and right at home almost from the first moment that we met. She has been attentive, professional and extremely helpful and I look forward to continuing to use her experience and expertise to help me navigate through my bipolar life.
Gale is extremely sweet, has an amazing sense of humor, and is such a good listener. She is very knowledgeable in a lot of different areas and has helped me tremendously.
I love the format of BetterHelp and Galye not only responds promptly she shows compassion and understanding. She has helped me with some very stressful situations I've been experiencing the last few weeks.
