Hello and welcome to my profile page. My name is Gary Gilles and I appreciate you taking a few minutes to explore how I might be of help to you.
Even though I don’t yet know you, I can make one certain assumption: you want to change your life in some important way. If that is true, then there is no better time than now to start that change process. Every day you either make progress toward the life you desire or you drift further away from it. Progress is empowering. But lasting change doesn't happen by chance. It requires a fresh start and a new approach to changing old habits. The first question you must answer is, "How do I want my life to be different?
If the answer to that question was easy, you would have already figured it out. Sometimes you need the help of an experienced guide to walk you out of the wilderness and onto a path that leads to a better life.
That’s where I can help. As a licensed counselor for over 20 years I have walked alongside thousands of people, like yourself, in my private practice guiding them to better manage their anxiety, depression and relationship challenges. And I could do the same for you.
What type of change are you seeking? Do you want to improve your marriage, heal from a divorce or reconnect with your children? Do you want to learn to overcome anxiety or depression, break addictive behaviors, take better care of yourself and live consistently within your values and faith? Would greater self-confidence help your relationships?
My approach starts with listening carefully to your story and especially the parts that pertain to the issues you need help with. Then, I work with you to clarify a plan to address those areas of concern and develop actionable goals around each area so you can begin to see progress right away. Some of these goals may be short-term while others may be long-term. Either way, I’ll walk through each step with you to help ensure your growth.
Positive change starts with the courageous step of admitting you need help. If you want to explore how I might be able to help you, send me a message or pose a question and I’ll be happy to talk with you. This first step could be the beginning of lasting change.

Gary has helped me in the past couple months with things I never even knew I was struggling with. He gives honest and helpful content.
Gary has been very helpful during a hard time for me. He’s been listening thoroughly, always responding and even reaching out himself when I went a little under. Most importantly he’s been giving me very practical advice that I can immediately apply, thereby making me believe that I can manage my situation. He’s been patient and just a really great person to work with. I’d recommend him a 150% :). Thank you Gary.
Gary is great. What an amazing platform! Gary really gets me thinking - he gives me great worksheets with thoughtful and prompt replies. His responses are extremely helpful. He is also a great supporter of my hard work and I feel confident he is the kind of therapist that will help get me to my goals.
Gary was very helpful to lower my anxiety levels by explaining scenarios and giving me ideas to see different perspectives.
I came to Gary through BetterHelp in a time of crisis in my life, experiencing issues and problems I had never faced before. He listened to my story and understood what i was going through. With the advice he provided, he shed light on my situation and I felt a new lease of life, like the weight of the world had been lifted from my shoulders. I saw everything in a new light, from a new and better perspective and now I'm on a new path away from my troubles. I haven't looked back and thats all down to the help Gary provided me. I couldn't recommend him more if you're going through a tough moment in your life, thank you.
I am very grateful for the counseling experience with Gary Gilles. In just 5 days, he knew how to ask me the right questions that would lead to my seeing things more clearly. We worked on relationship issues and eating disorder. On both topics he showed empathy, gave great advice and shared with me inspiring and helpful information.
For the short period of time I was here, Gary was able to listen and give advice accordingly! His replies were really focussing on making me work things out with general questions and allowing me to see things more clearly! Highly recommend!
Very good at understanding the source of the problem and he gives very relevant and solid advises.
Gary helped me get to a better place than I was at the beginning of our counseling session. I was insecure and in quite a funk, but he helped me gain more insight into where the problems were really at and how I should proceed and what signs to look out for or keep in mind as I go through life. I don't feel insecure anymore. In fact, I don't think I've ever been this confident in my life! I'm starting to take measures to do better and be better for myself. I am very grateful I was able to have this experience with him.
Gary is extremely helpful and has guided me very well. I was very fortunate to find him.
