Work with Me!
Hello and welcome! I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the state of Louisiana. My vast clinical experiences include depression, anxiety, grief, child loss, abandonment, relationship issues and challenges associated with life transitions. I have over 20 years of clinical experience in a variety of settings including mental health clinics and hospitals. I strive to meet clients "where they are" and help guide them to where they want to be. I strive to provide a warm, caring and non-judgmental approach with all my clients. I hope that when we talk, you feel safe, supported and empowered to make lasting changes. I look forward to working with you! I earned a Masters of Social Work (MSW) from Tulane University. These quotes represent just a few of the many positive reviews that we have received for Gay Chalpin. We don’t pay anyone to provide their review and they are all made voluntarily. Some people's experience receiving therapy with BetterHelp might be different.
I've been seeing Dr. Chalpin for 3-4 months now and she has been utterly amazing in helping me find myself again. I still have a considerable amount of work to do but the path has become much clearer after my sessions with Dr. Chalpin. She's helped me identify the root causes of my distress and offered me a forum to think deeply about them each week. She proactively checks in on me and lets me know she is thinking of me which truly means a lot. She demonstrates tremendous empathy and I look forward to every opportunity we have to chat. It's impossible to convey the depth of my gratitude to her.
I can’t say enough great things about Better help!! My therapist is amazing!! I trust her and I know she genuinely cares about me. She writes to me to make sure I’m doing okay. The journal feature is great for me. Any time i have a feeling i can write my thoughts down. I love Better help!! I’m so thankful I got placed with my therapist, she’s the best I’ve ever had!! She always has helpful techniques and advice to help me cope. TEN STARS!!!
The best of the best, she’s always there when I need her.
She’s amazing! 10/10
She really makes it feel like I’m talking to a friend who won’t judge me on anything. I look forward to our talks every weeks. Even when Wrong in a situation she helps me see everything away from the emotions. I really appreciate all she does.
Gay Chalpin is helping me work through some lifelong issues and some troubles that have come out of living during a pandemic. She is very warm and understanding. And, even when she was preparing to evacuate for a hurricane, we had a very engaging and helpful conversation.
