About me

Welcome! I am a Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor (LPC-S) in the state of Louisiana. I received my master’s degree in 2005 from the University of New Orleans. I have 16 years of experience working with children ages 5 to 17 and adults from multicultural backgrounds. I have worked in school systems, mental health rehabilitation centers, Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) Programs and court sponsored, divorce programs.

I meet you where you are, and we go from there with your treatment program. I draw from various modalities, such as person-centered, Cognitive-Behavioral, Solution Focused and Mindfulness. Together, we will explore your strengths and work towards goals. We will challenge negative thoughts and explore the relationship between your thoughts, feelings and behaviors that have lead to the destructive patterns in your life. Together, we will find a way to move you towards the place in your live you are striving to be.

I have a full-time job with an ACT team, and am currently working towards my PhD in Counselor Education and Supervision. I am also a Counselor Supervisor in the state of Louisiana, supervising Provisional Licensed Professional Counselor’s towards licensure. I have 3 wonderful adult children that are the light of my life, and enjoy watching Saints games and listening to music in my spare time.
