About Me

My name is Gayle Zeller and I am a Mental Health Counselor licensed by the State of Washington. I received my BA in Political Science and Sociology, with a minor in Religion, from Pacific Lutheran University in 1989 and my Master’s in Counseling Psychology from St. Martin’s University in 1997. I have been a professional mental health clinician and a child mental health specialist since 1992.

My primary philosophy is grounded in Jungian and relational psychology. This means that I believe that the therapeutic relationship that develops is crucial to the process and progress that is made by individuals. In addition, I believe that each person has a story to be told and witnessed. My main objective is to help clients find the approach or technique that will be most effective, which may include a variety of interventions or suggestions, such as cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, and narrative therapy. I try to help clients identify and change unhealthy, and often irrational thoughts that can contribute to problems with mood, anxiety and interpersonal relationships. We may also look to change behaviors that are non-productive and self-defeating in nature.

I am so happy I made the decision to do something for myself! I’ve tried finding therapist’s in my area and they have waiting lists that are several months long. Being able to connect virtually is so helpful and convenient!
I am very happy with Gayle. I did choose “neutral” on some survey questions, only because we haven’t had enough visits yet to discuss everything. I do know the more times we meet I will be able to share more and we really be able to get into everything.
Gayle is very easy to talk to! I feel safe in sharing things with her. I feel heard and supported. I know as time progresses I will get even more out of our sessions.
I look forward to and even get excited about my sessions with Gayle.
I can’t say enough good things about Gayle and Better Help. My only “complaint” would be that the time moves too quickly during our sessions. The time just flys by!
Thank you Better Help for providing this amazing service for so many people!

Absolutely amazing! I’ve been working with Gayle for about 3 weeks now and she makes me feel heard, unbroken, and hopeful for my journey into becoming a healthier me. I’ve started noticing a non-tolerance for unhealthy habits and I shut them down quicker than before. I’m by no means where I want to be but with Gayle, I’m 1000% confident she’s pushing me to become so much better for myself and those around me.

I felt very comfortable speaking w/Gayle for my 1st session today.
Gayle took the time to get & share some background. It was great in that it helped build a comfort and ease in sharing.
I was diagnosed with the scary breast cancer so I've been pretty up, down, uncertain, decisive, mad, sad, heck yeah I've got this & then scared.
After making your treatment decisions you'll always get questions on why you chose the treatment path you did and self doubt. Once I shared, I didn't once feel judged.
She was very easy to connect with. I had a relieved & telaxed smile on my face when telling my spouse how well I felt with how our 1st session went. I look forward to further sessions.
Thank you for helping me feel comfortable & confident in future sessions.
