Hello! My name is Gillian Hadlock. I am a licensed therapist with over 10 years of experience. I know that life can sometimes feel challenging and I applaud your courage in reaching out for help. My philosophy is that each and every one of us possesses vast potential for joy and transformation. I encourage and guide my clients to get clear on their goals, identify thoughts/behaviors that are holding them back, and cultivate their strengths. We’ll figure out what’s working well and what’s not working, and I'll give you tough love when necessary. I prioritize creating a safe and non-judgmental space where we can explore your concerns and get things moving in a positive direction. I'm here to help equip you with the tools and feedback for you to live your best life possible.
I use mainly evidence-based techniques including cognitive-behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, solution-focused therapy, and mindfulness techniques. I have extensive experience working with individuals who have experienced trauma, addiction, and relationship/intimacy issues. I also have experience treating depression, anxiety, self-esteem issues, and a vast array of concerns. I have worked in hospitals, mental health agencies, HIV/AIDS clinics, refugee centers, and more.
I'm here not as a superior, but as a teammate who can offer valuable feedback and help you get momentum in a positive direction. I believe that you are the expert of your own life. I use a holistic approach to mental health treatment and often use different therapeutic techniques to make sure that we address your challenges/concerns as effectively as possible. My approach is also strengths-based. By identifying your gifts, we can empower you to make positive changes and meet your goals. Clients often aren't aware that certain thoughts and behaviors are holding them back. As your therapist, I can help you get clear on what's keeping you stuck and create healthy habits and belief systems.
I look forward to beginning this journey with you!

Gillian desires to understand what her client is feeling/needing. A wonderful non-biased space to untangle your thoughts. Helps validate your emotions and encourages expressing them in healthy ways.
Very good behavior and a very helpful person to speak with.
Gillian is amazing! She is kind, patient, caring and she truly wants to see me succeed. This is absolutely the best therapy experience I could have imagined!
Gillian was very helpful in helping me work through my anxiety gave me a bunch of great tips and techniques to help manage stress.
I only spent a month talking to Gillian but she helped me immensely. I really just needed to get some clarity in my life and had a lot of people giving me their opinion so it was hard to form my own thoughts and figure my own opinion. Gillian made me feel safe and allowed me to talk about my thoughts with no judgement. She provided me with worksheets that were really helpful and practical. Gillian is a great listener and always had a great way of making me feel like the feelings I was experiencing were okay and she helped me grasp more insightful ways of looking at my situation. I highly recommend her and I look forward to working with her again in the future!
We have only had a few session, but after every video call with her I feel lighter and happier and much more optimistic and I feel I´m doing the right thing with this therapy. Which is, by the way, the first time in my life I sought therapy, so I have nothing to compare to. But Gillian makes me feel good, she is a good listener and comes with very good suggestions about what I can do myself. I follow her advice as much as I possibly can and her advice work.
