Gina Bowers, LPC
About me
Hi! My name is Gina Bowers. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Pennsylvania and have been working in the field for 30 years. My Counseling degree is from the University of North Carolina- Greensboro.
My work has been with adults and teens, regarding issues of depression, anxiety, stress, LGBT, career changing, ADHD, relationships, divorce, and self-esteem. Sometimes we encounter bumps along the way and my approach is to help you learn how to cope and adjust to them. I was also a Therapeutic Foster parent and worked with children in the Foster Care system. My approach is varied as each person is unique, but tend to use a combination of Behavioral, Mindfulness and Cognitive techniques. I have a laid back and supportive style.
Sometimes we need an unbiased person to share our challenges with and process our thoughts and feelings around these challenging events. I would be honored to be that person for you and help you move toward success in your future goals.
Fun Facts About Me
• My 2 dogs, Mango and Doodle are both “Therapy Pets”. They volunteer at nursing homes, rehabs, schools, and libraries. It is very rewarding to see the happiness they can bring to those they work with.

Gina has been an amazing help to me the last few months. In addition to giving me real, actionable ideas to improve my situation, she asks great questions to get me thinking more, checks in periodically when I'm doing well and not in touch much, and has even given me great ideas to deal with our dog's issues! She has been a blessing!

I’ve only been working with Gina a few weeks. I look forward to our conversations as she has provided a lot of insight so far. She really listens and was on board to help me get what I was looking for out of counseling.
