Hello my name is Gina. I have been working as a therapist for over 12 years. My experience is extensive and have spent much of my career working with those experiencing symptoms related to depression, anxiety, OCD, postpartum depression, interpersonal and family conflict, stress and anger management, grief and loss, bipolar disorder and issues related to psychosis. I have worked in both faith based and non faith based environments depending on my client’s preference. I am licensed as an LCSW and obtained my degrees from New York University (NYU) and my bachelors degree at Eastern University (EU). My training is in psychodynamic theory and my practice reflects this by utilizing an ecliptic therapeutic approach of psychoanalytical practice and behavioral interventions.
Therapy can be an effective tool in the healing process and can help people gain insight and control over otherwise overwhelming circumstances. I believe in an approach which works at a pace that the client determines and is comfortable with. I like to offer feedback and reflection as the therapist and explore both the underlying emotions and roots to behaviors as well as tangible steps to changing undesired feelings, thoughts, behaviors and circumstances. Therapeutic approaches I utilize stem from CBT, DBT, IPT, and psychodynamic interventions.
