About Me

No matter what you are going through, know that I am here to listen, support you, and help you figure it all out! I offer you compassion, empathy, hope, and understanding in the midst of your pain. I am real and will give you my full attention as we work together. I am committed to helping you examine your core beliefs, attitudes, and behaviors that keep you stuck.

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Colorado with over ten years' experience counseling individuals, couples, and families. Because each individual is unique, I do not use a one size fits all formula; I have an integrated approach to counseling and use different techniques that are tailored to meet the needs of each client. Some of these include: Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Solution Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), and Person Centered Therapy.

My educational background includes a BA in Psychology, MA in Education, MA in Counseling, and an LPC in Colorado. My focus in therapy is on addressing the needs of the whole person: physical, emotional, and spiritual. I examine the past and the present and see how these affect each dimension of your life. I will work to get beneath the surface to the deeper issues and feelings and the core of your struggles. My goal is to help you not just survive your struggles, but experience healing and find fulfillment, purpose, and joy in life. I am really looking forward to working with you and walking on this journey together!

Got me thinking in a broader sense then I had thought to. Worked it all back in to the issues I raised and asked questions that really brought things back to a foundational level (for my life) & made things a clearer.

Ginger Ernst, in our brief time as client-counselor, has been excellent. Despite our extreme time zone differences, her replies have been timely.

She has so far shown an interest in my situation, and I would feel comfortable speaking to her in person about the exact same issues. Her responses are exactly what I have needed so far--high in emotional connections and lacking in judgment or decision-making.

I have seen other therapists before but what I like is this is written communication between myself and Ginger and I can speak my mind and thoughts on paper as I follow her guided questions. It is nice to know I am being listened to and that I feel I can get the help I need.
