Ginnie Porembski, LPC
About me
Even after fourteen years of counseling people it still amazes me how different we all are from each other, and at the same time how similar. I enjoy getting to know each of my clients’ unique personality and history while helping them to explore the issue that has brought them to me. One tool that I find helpful in this process is the Enneagram, which is a personality typing system. Using this system allows me to learn about a client’s usual way of handling things very quickly so we can focus more on the immediate issue.
While I generally use a combination of person-centered, cognitive behavioral, humanistic, and psychodynamic approaches, I believe people grow the most in the context of a caring and supportive relationship, so my primary goal is to listen and affirm my clients while also appropriately challenging them to change unhealthy patterns.
If you feel ready for a change, I am excited to help you discover the possibilities ahead of you!

A very kind and understanding woman. When I was going through the toughest times of my life, she used her expertise to help me, and for that I am eternally grateful.
