I have over 15 years of providing culturally appropriate psychotherapy and social services to individuals
and families in Texas, California, and Hawaii. I earned my MSW from the University of Hawaii at Manoa in 2005. In 2010, I became a
fully licensed LCSW in the state of Texas and subsequently completed training to become a LCSW
Clinical Supervisor. I also earned a LCSW in the state of California in 2016. My training and experience comes from
a varied background of working in the public mental health and social services sector with individuals and
families grappling with Severe and Persistent Mental Illness, Anxiety, Depression, grave disability, and
end of life transitions. I have experience providing all components of the Dialectical Behavioral Therapy: individual therapy, group therapy, on-call phone coaching, and team consultation. I have an interest in end of life issues and have experience in hospice
and educating families on making end of life decisions for loved ones.
My framework is informed by my Buddhist practice of 8 years and Eastern Philosophy. I am trained in
utilizing Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Solution Focused Brief therapy, and more non-traditional approaches, such as, Internal Family Systems, and Emotional Freedom
Technique “tapping”. My approach to wellness and personal development has been cultivated by the
training I received in meditation by the Art of Living and my participation in the Landmark Forum.
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in both California and Texas.
I hope we can connect and begin our work together!

Giselle is quite thoughtful and her insights helped me a long way in developing better questions to pose to myself. Her flexibility with time and her manner of communication makes therapy quite a comfortable experience.
Giselle has been great and insightful. She understands me and respects me.
Giselle is the best. Smart, empathetic and amazing.
Giselle has helped me work through my marital issues and was able to greatly assist in formulating my thoughts and emotions in a way that allowed for better communication and response. A great counselor!
Giselle is very welcoming and gives me a warm and comfortable experience every time we talk she always knows just what to say to make me feel better and always gives me solutions to help me fix my problems.
Giselle takes time to listen to what I claim I need in order to get better. She uses her skills to professionally assess what subconscious issues I may have in order to help me deal with them consciously. I appreciate the way she rationalizes stressful situations calmly because that helps me take a step back and see things more clearly. I also appreciate the way she shares her knowledge base with me by offering suggestions that I might not have considered.
Excellent counselor. After a couple of minutes of talking to her she was able to identify a starting point and she has been working with me to strengthen it. When she talks to me, she doesn’t make me feel bad about about myself or anything else that happened in my life. She is very gentle, kind and understanding. She make me want to come to counseling. She truly is the best counselor I’ve had.
Giselle is understanding, responsive, and really seems to get what my primary concerns are as well as where they have come from. I would definitely recommend her to anyone looking for someone with expertise on self esteem issues and relationship problems :)
