Gloria Cannelora, LCSW
About me
Hello and welcome!
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in beautiful Northern California. I was born and raised in the central valley, and then spent a good portion of my young adult life traveling, living, and working in other places. Eventually I settled down, established a family, and took the next step in my career of serving others.
Much of the work I do is within the acute healthcare sector, often with older adults and their families. I specialize in areas of quality of life, end of life, grief, caregiver concerns, life stage changes, loneliness, isolation, and physical care needs. Additionally I work with adults experiencing substance use disorders and the underlying traumas that have led to and kept people in cycles of addiction. I have worked with people with a broad range of concerns including depression, anxiety, trauma, loss, and more.
My counseling style is considered eclectic. There is no "one size fits all" approach to healing and mental well-being. It is a process and a journey. I use a variety of counseling interventions in order to address each client's unique needs and goals.
Take a moment to be proud of yourself for reaching out for help. That is a big step! Wether you choose to work with me or another professional counselor, you are on the right track.

Gloria is amazing. She is kind, a good listener, and always helps me to figure out little steps to take to get where I want to be. She never judges me but always reminds me to be kind to myself, and makes me feel so safe in my sessions with her.

I never was able to really work with therapist I once had a therapist tell me that she didn’t even know where to start with me since I had been through so much, but Gloria reached out to me heard my story and she’s been able to take baby steps into my past as well as help give me tools for my future. I’m really happy with my sessions and with my progress I have so much more to learn but I can strongly say I’ve been progressing ♥️
