Gordon Bruin, LMHC, LCMHC
About me
I am a Board Certified Licensed Professional Counselor with 29 years of counseling experience. I specialize in treating anxiety, addiction issues, PTSD and trauma recovery. I am trained in EMDR and Motivational Interviewing and view therapy as a collaborative relationship. My focus is on helping my clients discover the answers that are best for them in order to move forward in life in a healthier and more confident manner.
I have spend many years helping adult survivors of childhood abuse recover as well as those who struggle with anxiety and addiction issues. I have spent many years studying mindfulness and somatic practices and will introduce these to those I work with. The one thing we are never taught in our schools is how to manage our minds. I will teach practical tools that have proven very effective in helping many heal.
I am a kind and compassionate therapist with many years of experience who has a deep respect and compassion for the struggles inherent in the human condition. I know that through the therapeutic relationship healing can take place. I look forward to working with you and helping you along your journey.
