With a background in Drama, I offer a unique approach to therapy. In order to achieve maximum happiness, we must learn to take off the masks that appear to act as defenses but actually isolate us - both from other people and out own true natures. Mixing Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy and Drama Therapy, I provide a caring, challenging and yet sensitive environment for both the exploration and resolution of problems. I have worked in a number of settings, including private practice, acute care behavioral hospitals and Big Spring State Hospital, on their residential unit with long-term patients.
I was born in raised in England, and came to America on a Fulbright Scholarship in my early twenties. After a Ph.D. at UC Berkeley, I was a Drama Professor for a number of years before becoming a newspaper reviewer and eventually a counselor. My hobbies include playing the guitar and photography, especially primates in the Fort Worth Zoo. My bucket list includes spending a winter in Lake Tahoe, a summer in the Shetland Isles and visiting Antarctica. I currently live in Fort Worth, where I have a private practice. I am married with two sons, aged 18 and 15.
