My name is Greg Cook and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Oklahoma. I have 11 years of experience working in mental health. I have had the opportunity to work in several settings in that time including residential, acute, and outpatient. I also have experience in group homes and detention centers performing psychological and educational assessments. I have worked in schools as a community-based counselor and, currently, as a school employee. I have worked with children, teens, and adults, serving my clients through individual, group, and family therapy. I have been able to assist my clients with a wide range of issues including depression, ADHD, anxiety, marital conflict, parenting issues, and past trauma.
I am very passionate about helping others. It has been the one constant when I considered what I should do with my life. No job or profession has ever been a realistic option for me unless it involved creating relationships and working with people to help them meet their goals. I enjoy building others up and helping them to reach their full potential. I know that there are times in everyone’s life when they just need that, to feel like someone is there to hear them and support them.
My approach is very relationship driven. I believe the benefits of therapy are deeply connected to the therapeutic relationship. I typically draw from a variety of therapeutic approaches while serving my clients, primarily Reality Therapy, CBT, and Brief Solution Focused Therapy. However, I do draw from others if they are more appropriate for the specific situation.
Additional areas of focus: Stress, Anxiety, Relationship issues, Family conflicts, Grief, Self esteem, Career difficulties, Depression, Coping with life changes
Clinical approaches: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, Trauma-Focused Therapy

Greg's a great guy, he responds respectfully and helpfully to the problems associated with my condition and helps me generate solutions to them. Any problem I have is with the website itself and the technical problems associated therein.

Greg has been very receptive and willing to take things at a pace that I am comfortable with. He is easy to talk to and sets a non-judgmental tone in his responses.
