I am Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker with over 10 years of experience working as a therapist. I have helped clients with a wide range of concerns including depression, anxiety, PTSD, relationship issues, parenting problems, and personality disorders. I also helped many people who have experienced physical and sexual trauma or emotional abuse.
I am an outside-the-box thinker, and my counseling style is warm, empathetic, creative, and non-judgemental. My approach combines cognitive-behavioral, dialectical behavioral therapy, humanistic, psychodynamic, narrative, mindfulness, and motivational interviewing. I am also a certified EMDR therapist, which is a modality that is evidenced-based and highly effective for PTSD. I will tailor our dialog and treatment plan to meet your unique and specific needs.
I received my MSW from Boston University. Prior to becoming an LICSW, I was an artist and a teacher, with Bachelor's degrees in Fine Art (Corcoran School of Art) and Education (McGill University -Physical Education). I was also in the Peace Corps.
It takes courage to seek a more fulfilling and happier life and to take the first steps towards a change. If you are ready to take that step I am here to support and empower you.
I look forward to working with you!

She is a very good listener and really quick to identify problems and concerns. She is good at reinforcing solutions so you can implement them into your life and is a very warm and bright person that makes you feel more comfortable in a respectful manner.
