About me
Hello, I am a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Supervisor in North Carolina. I have over 20 years’ experience as a professional counselor. I work with clients who are experiencing a wide variety of concerns.
My background includes helping clients with issues related to self-esteem and life transition issues such as divorce, grief and loss, retirement, job loss/change, leaving for college, relocation, and related areas that may cause an individual to experience a sense of uncertainty or feel overwhelmed. I also help people experiencing combat and sexual trauma; military families in transition, stress related to multicultural issues of race and gender, anxiety, and depression.
At the foundation of my counseling style is a person-centered approach that honors the uniqueness of the individual and their inherent strengths. I believe that counseling is a collaborative process that, through hard work, holds the potential to be liberating for people experiencing obstacles in their life journey. It offers the individual an opportunity to invest in their emotional, cognitive, and behavioral wellbeing with the prospect of continued growth at the termination of therapy.
I look forward to working with you and applaud you for taking a step towards optimal wellbeing.

Dr. G has been so helpful in my journey to self-care and wellness. She allows me to be candid and offers advice, yet doesn’t push anything unnecessary onto me. She always responds in a timely manner and is kind and considerate. I would HIGHLY recommend!!!
