About me

I am a psychotherapist located in Portland, Oregon providing couples therapy and relationship therapy for individuals. While people consult with me for a variety of reasons, I specialize in addressing concerns related to intimacy, communication, infidelity, identity, and fostering healthy relationships. I come to this work with a belief in people, in possibilities, and in the power of relationships. I work from the perspective that healing happens in a positive environment, and that relationships are sustained through love, laughter, presence, humanity, acceptance, and solidarity.

I work from a humanistic perspective, acknowledging that we all inevitably encounter difficulties in our lives, but how we work with them and make meaning is the key. I strive to help people discover the patterns that are holding them back, and experiment with new ways of being. My hope is that by exploring new skills, behaviors, and perspectives together, people can access and develop knowledge that will turn challenging situations and patterns into opportunities for growth. I do not believe in a “One-Size-Fits-All” approach to therapy or life. Thus, I employ an interactive style, grounded in collaboration with each person that I work with.

I am a certified Narrative therapist, certified in Accelerated Resolution Therapy, and I am currently pursuing a certification in Sex Therapy from the University of Michigan. I am EMDR trained, have complete Level 1 training in Gottman Method Couple’s therapy, and I have advanced training in Psychodynamic therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, Motivational Interviewing, mindfulness-based therapies, and a range of practices related to art therapy and mind-body work. A good fit is essential in a therapeutic relationship, please contact me if you have any questions about how I practice or to determine if I would be a good fit for you.
