About me

Hello! You have begun a journey of support, and I appreciate that you reaching out! Realizing that we need others in our lives in the first step towards actionizing the goals we have for ourselves. I would be honored to accompany you on your journey, but first, let me share a little bit about myself and my approach.

Prior to obtaining my Master of Science in Social Administration (MSSA, MSW equivalent) from Case Western Reserve in Cleveland, Ohio (2016), I completed Masters of Arts studies in Religion and Philosophy at the Graduate Theological Union in Berkeley, CA (2013), instilling in me a deep-seated appreciation for the vastness of perspective in the human experience. Completing a Masters in Education in Applied Behavioral Analysis, I have worked in outpatient clinic settings as well as home-based settings helping my clients reach goals they have set for themselves. Whether it be working with the parent of an autistic five-year old to better understand the social challenges their child and adapt or working through interpersonal challenges of a professional in between careers, my goal is to meet my clients where they are at to understand the struggles from their perspective.

Having worked in a variety of settings with client populations across the spectrum, I have come to appreciate the sacred task of respecting my clients’ experiences when the rest of their world has left them feeling invalidated. The clients I have worked closely with have faced and overcome significant trauma, from grief and loss, transition through life, PTSD, or suicidal ideation. As a therapist, I find fulfillment in watching these clients find capacity within themselves to grow beyond the anxieties and depression that threaten their every day.

I take a very conversational approach, adapting to each client, to help you develop insights into your situation and create space for positive change. While talk is the mode through which we do our work, I will help you focus on your goals and take behavioral steps towards achieving them through concrete tools and offering up different perspectives. I will walk with you at your pace, focusing on those things most important to you. As a facilitator of this conversation, I will help you navigate past barriers and challenges, even if you have unwittingly created your own obstacles. My goal is to validate your experience and help you understand there is always a way forward.

I have been in your shoes, seeking my own treatment in counseling throughout many years of my life—so I understand how important a good fit is! I believe in good boundaries—I will be fully present to you in our clinical interactions, holding a place of safety and calm for you to work our some of your deepest challenges. Because this time is about you and your journey, my personal life is less important than the experience I bring working with different people through life situations. I am happy to be a sounding board for you if you will have me!
