Hannah Mooney, LCSW
About me
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Missouri with 4 years of professional experience. I’ve worked with families, couples, and individuals from ages of 4 years old to those in their mid 60’s, and tend to specialize most in working with adolescents and those in their young to mid adult years. I have experience in helping those with stress and anxiety, relationship issues, trauma and abuse, motivation, self esteem, confidence, and overall helping people learn and understand themselves more. With each unique person I work with, I strive to form a trusting and strong therapeutic rapport, and to provide a safe, empathetic environment of unconditional positive regard to help support each person through their healing journey.
I’ve been a therapy client myself, and it takes work, time, commitment, and patience. All of that can feel scary and overwhelming on its own, and it’s through my therapeutic approach where I strive to help therapy be an opportunity to help those I work with learn how to overcome challenges and grow in empowerment, and to be able to continue maintaining that growth on their own even when they no longer need therapy. I tend to utilize therapeutic interventions such as CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy), Motivational Interviewing skills, Solution based approaches, DBT skills (Dialectical Behavioural Therapy), and I’m trained in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing). It’s through these interventions that I work to meet each individual where they’re at in their growth, and support them in becoming empowered to make consistent and long term progress for themselves.

Hannah is very supportive, validates me when needed. Calls me out on my behavior if needed. Hannah keeps me grounded while actively listening and weaving thru the curves and roads that make up my life. I love that she is genuine, direct, who allows me to feel no judgement or shame.

Hannah is an incredible therapist. I feel so lucky to have found Hannah and feel like that, even in a few sessions, she has helped me immensely. I look forward to seeing her each session and truly brag about her with friends and family. I am glad to be working with her and look forward to our continued working relationship.

Hannah really truly listens to me and makes me feel validated with my issues as well as challenges me to open up and acknowledge what I am feeling in a respectable manner. Talking through things with her has been helping me have some sense of calm and reflection in an otherwise chaotic time in my life. Would definitely reccomend her to anyone wanting to have someone to connect with and work through a tough part of their life or just to consistently check in and better themselves even when things are going well as I plan to do eventually when I’m in a more secure spot.

Hannah is phenomenal. When going into a session, she is very quick to assess and determine what approach you need for that session. She is kind and reasoning while still pushing you into the uncomfortable to think. If you just need a session of talking, she will listen while still helping you seek the answers you need within yourself. Hannah is without a doubt the best therapist I have ever seen in my life. Thank you, Hannah.

Hannah keeps up with me, she motivates and inspires me. When I have chaos in my head, she mucks through it and helps me focus. She sees things I don't. I can't say enough good about her.
