About me

Hello and welcome! My name is Hannah Puls and I am a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor issued by the state of Minnesota. I have seven years of counseling experience and have worked with adults with a wide range of health issues including trauma, anxiety and depression, addiction, crisis counseling, family issues, sleep concerns and more.

I am experienced in many therapeutic techniques and work collaboratively with my client to find what works with them. I believe that the relationship between counselor and client is the best predictor of success and work to nurture that relationship throughout the therapeutic experience. Depending on client needs, I will utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to challenge negative thinking patterns and draw parallels to desired behavior change. I encourage autonomy in clients and will work diligently with you to come up with solutions that promote independence and self-reliance in the future.

I offer sessions in the chat room style so please be aware that you will not get phone/video options for communication.

Whatever the reason you are seeking extra support, I am here to offer a non-judgmental space to explore answers and walk with you on your journey.

100% the best therapist I've had.

Written on Feb 03, 2022 after therapy with Hannah for 2 weeks on issues concerning depression, stress, anxiety, addictions, lgbt, relationship issues, family conflicts, trauma and abuse, grief, intimacy-related issues, eating disorders, sleeping disorders, self esteem, anger management, and coping with life changes

Helps guide sessions to accomplish your goals. Responds with insight of journals and chats. The difficult spot is when you still don't have all those goals defined so takes time to work through establishing them.

Hannah is amazing! She's so encouraging and helpful. She has read everything I've said with a critical eye, and has made straightforward and intuitive comments and completely validated my thoughts and emotions. She helped me think more kindly about myself and showed me that even when we panic about decisions, we'll be okay no matter what happens. She checks in if she hasn't heard from me in a few days, and I know she genuinely cares!
