I have been in the helping professions for 22 years. My master's degree is in Rehabilitation Counseling Education, M.Ed. I am currently a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) in the state of Maryland, and a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in the state of Florida. I am a published author of the book, Good Night, Baby, Good Night, a parenting resource. It is a short book on how to get Baby or Twins to sleep through the night.
My years of experience have afforded me the opportunity to work with parents, including adult clients of all ages, and who had many challenges and concerns with their emotional and psychological health, including, but not limited to: depression, anxiety, Bipolar Disorders, Substance Use Disorders, parenting issues, and PTSD. When working with individuals experiencing personal difficulties, I foster personal growth and resiliency through emotional, cognitive, and behavioral therapy. My clients include, multicultural individuals and those with various socioeconomic backgrounds. I utilize other therapies that are appropriate for the clients’ individual needs, such as CBT, Mindfulness, Client Centered Therapy, and Solution Focused Therapy, although other therapy may be used as well.
Working with adults and parents addressing mental health issues and the associated problems that can extend into the family dynamics, I utilize therapy that will explore and can uncover the root of your challenges, and help you develop an approach to mitigate damaging behaviors and thinking processes. It has been my experience that the best time to seek therapy is when you know you need help. That is the simple version, to take the first step.
My main goal is to focus on establishing trusting relationships through insight, compassion guidance, and empathy. I offer a safe, judgement-free space for my clients to share, feel supported and nurtured. In order to meet the unique needs of my clients, I provide the highest-quality of care possible toward supporting client’s mental health needs and overall recovery and well-being. The door is open for you to step in. I look forward to working with you!

These quotes represent just a few of the many positive reviews that we have received for Harriett Watson. We don't pay anyone to provide their review and they are all made voluntarily. Some people's experience receiving therapy with BetterHelp might be different.
Ms. Watson is helping me find myself and my self-worth. The journey is not an easy one but it’s 10 times better when you have someone to support you and help you to the next level without judgment. I could not do this on my own without Ms Watson and the reinforcement from the many great groupinars!
