Heather has been working with me for 3 weeks and I can see a difference already.
The work I’m doing is ultimately on me.
She provides me worksheets and challenges me to make sure I’m staying on track with the answers.
She makes sure that I’m ok and that the ability to text during the week has helped me tremendously.
This is a great service and I’ve suggested to people that they look into this.

This has been such a positive experience so far that I have already recommended it. I was very pleased with the in-depth background information gathering that began the process. I found being able to message my responses to be more effective than an in-person interview because I could sit and think through my responses and be sure to share everything that mattered. Heather was helpful 2 weeks before my actual appointment with her took place. The act of sharing history brought up some feelings and the day to day things that prompted me to seek counseling in the first place were present and Heather was available and responsive through messaging. I never waited long for her to answer and she gave me great feedback along with "homework" that got me through the moment and started a toolbox of things I could draw from.

This forum and Heather are working for me and I've just barely begun.

Heather is so supportive with all my little "issues"!! I bet she has other clients that are going through more difficult situations and trauma, but she still makes me important and provides advice that is relevant in each situation. Even when I forget to check-in, Heather reaches out to remind me to connect. I enjoy our conversations!

Heather is a lovely counselor to work with, and always leaves me with valuable insight and exercises that have made noticeable impact on my mental health. Heather Butler is focused on the problems I have. I wrote to her about a specific problem and she developed a treatment plan for it. She responded very quickly to my email. I am bipolar: and Heather specializes in my disorder and also has extensive training in trauma, which I also have. I would recommend her to anyone. She is kind, thoughtful and excels in her field.

Heather is such a wonderful person. When I joined BetterHelp, my only fear was that the therapists would be like robots, but Heather is so personable and kind. She knows how to offer advice without being rude, and she isn't dismissive with my feelings like past therapists I've had. We went into couples counseling not knowing what to expect but hoping for the best. While it took a few sessions to get acclimated to the experience we soon found that Heather made us feel at ease about the process and helped us dive into some of the things we were struggling with. Over several weeks my boyfriend and I have been invested in this process and following Heather's advice as well as reflecting on her insights. We are communicating so much better and have been able to avoid frequent, trivial arguments and spend more time connecting, listening, and working through conflicts. I highly recommend Heather to other couples who may be working through similar issues.

I didn't think that therapy would work for me, especially in an online medium where you essentially get therapy through email. However, Heather helped me tremendously and I never thought that was possible from just talking with someone.

I'm finding Heather very helpful. I'm pleasantly surprised; I was little dubious that a website could take the place of researching my own therapist and having face to face therapy, but Heather is great. Heather has been very helpful during this odd time in my life. Not being able to go out and actually see a therapist I was nervous to try BetterHelp. Heather was a joy to work with. We began our sessions during the Coronavirus outbreak, and she was very empathetic listener. Heather offered sound suggestions for mitigating stress and managing relationships with family members. But best of all, speaking with her felt like speaking with an old friend. I felt comfortable expressing myself yet also received an appropriate amount of coaching, i.e. my patterns of negative thought were challenged by Heather in a supportive manner. Finally, I had no difficulty scheduling with her, and she was incredibly communicative throughout our time together. Thanks so much, Heather!
