About me

Hi, I'm glad you have sought out help. I know that picking a counselor can be a difficult process. I have been working as a counselor for the past 9 years. My primary focus is in substance abuse and mental health disorders. I currently hold a Masters degree in mental health counseling and am in the process of obtaining a PhD in psychology.

All of the education in the world though can't compare to the education I've gotten from working every day with my clients and learning about their lives. My goal in counseling is to allow my clients to thrive in their given situation. No two people are the same and I would never expect to treat them the same. I take a person centered approach to counseling. You are the expert in your life, I am an outsider who may be able to offer a different perspective.

I have expertise in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy and Motivational Interviewing. If those don't mean anything to you, don't worry. They are tools that I have to help guide you through your process of self-discovery.
