Hello and welcome! I am a licensed clinical social worker in the state of Pennsylvania. I earned my Master's degree in Social Work from Marywood University in 2006 and have been practicing since, providing individual, couple, and family therapy for a hospital network. I have worked with clients with a wide range of concerns including depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, relationship issues, parenting problems, career challenges, and OCD. I also helped many people who have experienced physical trauma or emotional abuse.
My counseling style is warm and interactive. I believe in meeting a person where they are at and helping them explore what their own goals are. It is important to me that each person I work with is treated with respect, sensitivity, and compassion, and I don't believe in stigmatizing labels. My approach combines cognitive-behavioral, humanistic, mindfulness counseling, and yogic techniques. I will tailor our dialog and treatment plan to meet your unique and specific needs.
It takes courage to seek for a more fulfilling and happier life and to take the first steps towards change. If you are ready to take that step, I am here to support and empower you.
I look forward to working with you!

Heather is amazing! :) She made my feelings feel valid. She never judged or gave her own option. She always listened and helped! I’ve been to therapy before and I didn’t think it was working for me, until now. I can’t thank Heather enough for all the help and support.
Heather is a wonderful listener. She understands my concerns and gives insightful and helpful responses.
I have only had a couple of sessions so far with Heather to deal with my pregnancy anxiety in the last couple of weeks of my pregnancy. But she was so great. She could relate well to the issues i was having. She was easy to open up and talk to and definitely helped me through a difficult time.
Heather is a fantastic listener and challenges me to examine the "why" behind my preconceived notions and actions. She asks meaningful, thought provoking questions that have helped me to better understand myself and my emotional responses to situations. She's also given me great advice and guidance on how to better manage my anxiety. Talking with Heather has helped me.
Heather has been wonderful to work with. Easy to talk to, and has fantastic listening skills. I would highly recommend her to anyone who needs an ear to listen.
Heather is a great counselor! She always makes me feel seen and heard in our sessions and gives great advice and homework for reflection in between. Would definitely recommend her to others.
