About me

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and have been practicing in the field of social work in various environments for over a decade. I also have a Masters in Organizational Leadership, which allows me to integrate my social work background with leadership development. In my therapy practice, I have worked extensively with individuals, of multiple ages, who have struggled with depression, anxiety, trauma, and life transitions/changes. I approach each client with openness and empathy as well as focusing on individual strengths.

My therapeutic approach is to support clients in building skills to live a life worth living. Accordingly, I use elements of Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) to support increased emotional regulation skills, improved distress tolerance, and better interpersonal effectiveness. Additionally, I incorporate Problem Solving Treatment (PST) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to assist clients in moving toward reaching their treatment goals.

Seeking support during times of distress can be a difficult leap. If you are ready to take the step and looking for a compassionate professional to be part of your journey, then I am here to help and support you along the way!

Kindly,
Heather
