About me

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor with a masters degree in counseling psychology.  I have been in the mental health and social services field since 2010.  During this time, I have gained experience working with a variety of clients and have served many professional roles. My passion is working to support individuals in the development of a personal identity and the empowerment and discovery of strengths and resiliency! I am passionate about advocating for, supporting and encouraging others.  I believe we are all capable of overcoming obstacles and excelling to be the best version of ourselves possible!

I am a short-term, solution focused therapist, which means that you can anticipate on average 6-8 sessions from beginning to discharge. My live session availability is only on Fridays. I am generally available to answer questions during the week but only schedule for full therapy sessions on Fridays.

For individual therapy, I use a combination of modalities, with an emphasis on positive psychology and focus and examination on meaning and purpose of life, resiliency and gratitude. I believe equally important to examining self growth is exploration of character, strengths, coping mechanisms and future oriented goals! When working with family systems, I utilize the wellness model, focused on improvement of communication and conflict resolution with an emphasis on family strengths. For those coping with grief and loss, a much softer approach focuses on support while working through the stages of grief as well as the development of coping mechanisms to aid day to day.  For trauma, the focus is on acceptance of feelings, patience with the healing process and the development of methods to overcome symptoms, such as anxieties, fear, relationship troubles and judgement and guilt.

I look forward to meeting you and beginning your journey!
