About me

I believe you deserve to live your best life possible. I am an independent social worker licensed in Massachusetts with over 20 years of experience working in human services. I have worked with clients with a wide range of concerns including depression, bipolar disorder, adoption, anxiety, relationship issues, parenting problems, career challenges, and ADHD. I have also helped many people who have experienced physical trauma or emotional abuse.

My counseling style is warm and interactive. I believe in treating everyone with respect, sensitivity, and compassion, and I don't believe in stigmatizing labels. My approach combines cognitive-behavioral, humanistic, psychodynamic and rational-emotive counseling. I will tailor our dialog and treatment plan to meet your unique and specific needs. I believe our experiences are life lessons, not life sentences, and that we can learn and grow from our mistakes. I also believe that life is better with laughter, and many clients have commented on how my sense of humor has helped them through some difficult times.

It takes courage to seek a more fulfilling and happier life and to take the first steps towards a change. If you are ready to take that step I am here to support and empower you and to be by your side every step of the way.

I look forward to working with you!

Heather is such an amazing therapist. She has helped me through a pretty dark time in My life. I was very depressed and ready to go a few weeks ago. I just felt useless like no one was their. Heather style as a therapist is calming as she listens intently without showing judgement. If you are struggling with a relationship/ addiction . She is kind and compassionate. Doing the inner work has to come from you to heal. When there is no one else to confide therapy can help.

When I met Heather, I was depressed, sad, and struggling to maintain semblance of a normal life. My mood swings were getting the best of me and I really struggled to see hope and meaning for the next day. Talking to Heather on a weekly basis helped with my mood, self-esteem, and perspective. Slowly, I realized I was worth more than what the perceptions of others thought of me and better than how I felt inside despite what my brain was telling me. I think I would have struggled a lot longer with my issues (if not be completely overwhelmed by them and to a bad place) without Heather. I am extremely grateful to have had the pleasure and joy of working with Heather and I am so glad I was matched with her. I began to experience hope, happiness, and peace after many years of burgeoning pain. I truly have Heather to thank for offering me a new perspective on life and sense of happiness and emotional peace and stability. I feel whole and secure now. Thank you Heather!

Heather is a wonderful therapist who takes time to understand an individual's problems and goals. She's upbeat, helpful and kind. I would recommend her to anyone seeking help or just someone to listen.

Heather is an amazing therapist! She is very understanding and does a great job guiding you through the problems you are facing. From my experience, I have been dealing with depression for around five years and have lived through a constant cycle of hopelessness. I was very hesitant to start therapy but after spending a few months with Heather's guidance I couldn't be happier with my life. Heather has pointed me in the direction I needed to escape the constant loop I was living through in my day-to-day life. I can't thank her enough for helping me change my life for the better.
