Heather Zelaya, LCSW
About me
Hi! I am a master's level social worker. I have been providing therapy for 9 years. I have experience with adults and adolescents. I love to use a strengths-based approach to helping all clients work through life's issues, including trauma, grief, stress, relationships, depression and anxiety. I love for sessions to be client-centered and assisting clients in reaching their goals! I like to serve as a guide and a helper to assist in unpacking complicated things in order to feel better. I believe that people have the answers inside them and sometimes we need some assistance in seeing things more clearly. I also believe that getting help is a sign of strength rather than a weakness. I think it is quite brave to seek out counseling and I hope that I can help you on your life's journey.

Heather’s presence has been instrumentally helpful in me getting through a difficult time. She immediately understands and empathizes with me even in very confusing and complicated situations which many people who have no background experience with, and knows exactly the right concise thing to say in the moment (super important in a limited time frame with short sessions!). I don’t know how she does it but I am very grateful and will definitely continue working with Heather for the foreseeable future. She is amazing and I would definitely recommend her to anyone.
