I am a licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor. I have been working with clients since 2005 with a focus on substance abuse and mental health issues. I have specialized training in trauma focused care and am certified in EMDR, TF-CBT, DBT, CBT, Motivational Interviewing and client centered therapy. I have worked with adults, adolescents, males and females, and specialty groups. I have worked with a broad range of issues including anxiety, depression, substance use disorders, criminal behaviors, suicidal ideation, self-harm, self-esteem/self-worth, domestic violence and other trauma related issues from both childhood and adulthood.
My therapy style is client centered. I believe that all humans are the experts on themselves, and that therapy is meant to be a supportive guide to making your own decisions and determinations. I treat all people with respect and kindness. I stay away from labels and reinforcing stigmas that make it difficult to navigate through life. Choosing to enter therapy is a very personal and brave decision. I hope that I can assist you to move forward and realize the potential that is waiting inside of you.
