About me

My name is Ian Howarth, I have been in the counseling field for nearly ten years. I am an Air Force officer and I have experienced deployments and other life stressors from being in the military. I am married and have two adult children.
I provide Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, Cognitive Behavior Therapy, and Acceptance Commitment Therapy (ACT) along with spiritual integration for individuals who desire to find positive solutions for change in their lives. My philosophy of counseling is based on the belief the best person to help - is you. I use counseling theories and interventions to help you to grow through the “stuck” areas of your life. One of the goals of counseling is for you to develop personal strategies and solutions that work for you. As you move through life my hope is you will remember these tools and be able to apply them to difficult situations and be a support to your family and friends when issues arise. I look forward to working with you.

Reviews

These quotes represent just a few of the many positive reviews that we have received for Ian Howarth. We don't pay anyone to provide their review and they are all made voluntarily. Some people's experience receiving therapy with BetterHelp might be different.

I thought he was excellent, but after I shared a ton of info with him he disappeared from the platform and all that work of trying to get to know a new therapist was gone. This is the only way I know how to reach out to him. This is very frustrating.
