So, about me. I have been helping people improve their lives since 2003. I use techniques from a few different schools of thought that have helped many others achieve the results they desired. I also like to make sure that my clients’ goals are being met and so I use what is considered a client-centered approach while goal setting. What that means is that you are an active participant in the therapeutic process and help ‘pilot’ where session and your life is going.
I strive to maintain an emotionally safe atmosphere so that you feel comfortable expressing whatever you might need to as you discuss and explore yourself in the context of your life. But eventually, session may get pretty 'real.'
People sometimes find remote counseling a more relaxed format from which to do these things. That having been said, some concerns are not entirely suitable for remote counseling, and of course, I would need to observe what is clinically sound in such situations.
While I am quite educated regarding the frequent use of medication alongside counseling measures, I am also well-versed regarding complementary or integrative approaches to creating health including nutritional or herbally-oriented interventions. The foundation of my approach is Mindfulness-Based Cognitive-Behavioral and Somatic therapy, but I tend to also draw from NeuroLinguistic Programming, concepts from Ericksonian hypnotic therapy, EMDR, Laughter Therapy and the many tools from Energy Psychology. I am also a certified Kundalini Yoga instructor which works well with Mindfulness-Based CBT.
As you have noticed, the process of living can be a complex one. No one should have to forge ahead alone, constantly, especially during challenging times. I look forward to supporting your journey of self-discovery and reinvention.
