About Me

These are tough times! Many of us find our anxiety or depression is through the roof! Relationship issues are magnified by fears, financial woes, having to stay cooped-up together, and even grave loss. I am here to help. The decision to enter therapy is a courageous one: therapy requires change. You’ve come this far and that says something about you: you want a better life. I have a deep and heartfelt interest in walking the corridors of life with you, helping you find the things you want, the things you deserve, as you, along with your partner or family members find the happiness and meaning that awaits you on your journey.

I don't have a horse in your race, your success and happiness are my only goal. I have a lot of life behind me - and I've developed a keen and intuitive insight into both everyday and unusual problems. I can very rarely be shocked and am not shy when it comes to telling the truth. I borrow from several therapeutic models: Cognitive Therapy, Mindfulness and Meditation, Person Centered Therapy and Relational Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT).

Alan is easy to talk to, provides useful feedback in a gentle manner, even if it is not what I wanted to here. He is a strong addition to the BetterHelp crew

Alan is very supportive and understanding of what I discuss with him during our sessions. He listens to what I'm saying and offers guidance promptly, giving handouts and worksheets that relate to our discussions which are helpful in understanding my issues.

We've had a few sessions - Alan has been respectful, responsive, and helpful in allowing me to view things from another perspective and calling it how he sees it. I need that. I will continue to build this relationship now and for the future, he is a good resource and support for my counseling needs now.

Alan has been a great help to me while I have been navigating some tumultuous and emotionally draining situations. He is helping me understand and process things I did not realize I was carrying. My partner and I also did a couples session with him. He gave use some tools to help smooth the way through some misunderstandings and irritations we were experiencing.

Alan is fantastic. I’ve felt like I can trust him completely from day 1. He asks all the right questions to help me explore the reasons behind my feelings in greater depth and is unafraid to tell me some hard truths in a gentle manner which I greatly appreciate. I’d recommend him to anyone going through a tough time. He will help you get through it.
