Let me start by thanking you for choosing now as the time to begin exploring new opportunities and taking the first step towards improving the areas in your life that are causing you stress, hesitance, or confusion. Over the past five years, I have had the privilege of assisting individuals and families overcome their greatest challenges from a non-judgmental and empathetic standpoint.
I draw heavily on solution focused and motivational interviewing techniques to help my clients identify the circumstances or stressors in their lives while empowering them to make positive change. However, the core of my therapeutic approach would be described as “client-centered†and I treat every client with compassion, warmth, and acceptance. I have applied these values and techniques while facilitating therapy groups, family therapy, and, of course, individual therapy. My professional mission is to meet each client where they are and to individually tailor my approach to best meet the needs of my clients, all with the goal of helping improve the quality of their lives.
As a Licensed Professional Counselor, Nationally Certified Counselor, and a credentialed School Counselor, I have held many positions where I was able to assist a diverse group of adults, adolescents, and children. Throughout my career I have held positions at non-profit community mental health agencies, high schools, and currently work as a Program Therapist at a psychiatric hospital. Regardless of the setting, I am continuously amazed at the strength, patience, and determination I witness in my clients while working in a therapeutic setting.
Thank you again for taking the time to explore the various therapy options available to you. It is never easy to address the problems in life and come up with positive plans for the future. You are, however, taking a step in the right direction. I look forward to hearing from you.
