About me

Welcome!

I am a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW) and psychotherapist living in NYC. I received my MSW from the University of Toronto (Ontario, Canada) and have nearly 10 years of clinical training and experience. I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Motivational Interviewing and Psychodynamic therapy tools in my practice. I also use narrative therapy as a means of helping clients come to know themselves and to make sense of their experiences. My approach is rooted in the values of harm reduction and anti-oppression. My practice model is also queer and trans-affirming.

Some common issues that I address in my clinical practice include:

¥ Low mood, isolation, anger, and anxiety
¥ Relationships and intimacy
¥ Body image, desire, and disordered eating
¥ Social skills and self-awareness
¥ Substance use, addiction, behavior change
¥ Self-harm and coping skills
¥ Conflict around sex, sexual orientation, and gender identity
¥ Reconciling different aspects of identity
¥ Experiences of trauma, loss, oppression

Therapeutic work can be oriented toward specific short-term goals or address larger themes in the context of past and current life events.
